Google Software Product Sprint

Feb 2021 - May 2021

Google Software Product Sprint is an 11 week program that allows university students from around the world to expierience a software development cycle(sprint). Each group is given a mentor with the task of creating a web app around a theme. The theme for 2020 was interconnectivity. My team created a web app to track and report COVID-19 hot-zones in the United States using API's from the New York Times, N.I.H, etc. All data was then processed and put onto a Google Maps view of the United States. A live updating feed of the latest COVID-19 news in selected states was also implemented.
